Maintenance > Human Resources > Employee Attributes > Accrual Plans > (New/
)
Use this page to set up or edit an accrual plan and the profiles and rule sets that are associated with the plan. A profile refers to the type of accrual earned, such as vacation, sick and personal time. A rule set establishes the rules governing a profile.
This page contains two tabs of data:
The fields on this tab define an accrual plan.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Plan Code |
Required. Identifies the plan. The combination of Plan Code and Plan Name must be unique. Once saved, the Plan Code may not be changed, even if it has not been used. Use the arrow buttons on either side of the field to navigate between plans. If you have opened this page after having clicked Copy on the list page, the Plan Code and Plan Name will be blank. |
| Plan Name |
Required. Complete name of the plan. You may change the Plan Name at any time. The combination of Plan Code and Plan Name must be unique. |
| Status |
Required. Active or Inactive. Note: You cannot inactivate a plan that has been assigned to a benefit group or employee. |
| Effective Date |
Shows the date range during which the accrual plan is in effect. The current plan typically will show <Open> in place of an end date. When you select a new Start Date to begin a new plan, an end date will be applied to the current plan. If a plan contains multiple effective-dated records, gaps may not exist between effective dates. The effective date of a plan may not be changed to a date later than the first date the plan was processed for a benefit group or employee. Use the arrow buttons on either side of the Effective Date field to navigate between the different effective dates of a plan. On first opening this page from the list page, the current effective dated record for the plan will display. |
| Start Date | Required. First date the plan is in effect. You may edit this date, as long as the associated plan has not been used. |
| Last Used in Payroll | Last date the plan was used in a payroll. This date is view-only and will be updated with each payroll post. |

in the Validated column; those that have not show red Xs
